Back Home

My Mutual Funds class went well. I really enjoy sharing investing in stocks and mutual funds "how-to" information. It was fun to watch the teachers get all wrapped up in the Stock Market Game--- in deciding what to buy and researching stocks and mutual funds. I had planned a 30 minute time slot, but they were still going when I finally brought them back together after an hour and half.

A sad commentary on Ford and GM---They couldn't buy shares of Ford or GM (once the backbone of American manufacturing), not that they currently wanted to do so, because SMG participants can not buy stocks that sell for less than $5 a share. The rule is to prevent students from investing in penny stocks.

I flew home in a flying culvert---the stewardess was also the co-pilot---in time to see the UAA hockey team win the Governor's Cup. Okay, I'm willing now to buy season tickets for one more year!
