Here's more information on the concert we'll be at.

Woz has great seats because he helped Bill Graham build the Shoreline Amphitheater (Bill died about 10 years ago in a helicopter crash).

I remember asking Woz "what was your worst failure?" and he answered something about losing $200 million on the US Festivals (Bill Graham was the promoter of those). So, Woz and Graham were buddies and Woz helped Graham expand his business.

If you know Woz, you know he loves music.

I also imagine he'll have a gadget or two to show off (although I have some sources who know people at Wheels of Zeus -- Woz's company that he is involved in -- and they are still in stealth mode, so I don't imagine we'll hear a whole lot about what's going on there).

Last time I was at a concert with Woz (about 10 years ago) he had the latest laser pointer technology and GameBoy technology. Trivia? He owned the world's highest score on Tetris at that time.

Anyway, I'm very honored that Dave is taking me. I've been walking on air for a week now.

The Perseids are best tonight!

I'm seeing the Blue Man Group, Moby, and David Bowie with Woz, my son, and Dave Winer on Wednesday night. I am the world's luckiest man (and, hint, that's not the only reason I'm a lucky son of a b***h!).
Hey, your teachers were wrong. Chewing gum does make you smarter.
Wow, the photo boards are going nuts. Galen Rowell and his wife died in an airplane accident yesterday. This guy is one of my heroes. Long-term he's probably as significant to environmental efforts and photography as Ansel Adams is. So sad. Makes you remember to appreciate every day. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Here's one of the threads about the tragedy on PhotoNet. Galen's own Website has the official news at http://www.mountainlight.com
