James Spahr: "Very cool. A explaination of ISO paper standards."

I remember when Adobe Magazine switched over to A4 in the Spring of 1997. Markus Kuhn, the author of that doc on ISO paper standards, posted a note from someone at Adobe Magazine about the changeover to A4.

Here are the two best reader comments from the Summer 1997 Adobe Magazine issue commenting on the change to A4: "In addition to its clumsy size, A4's shape is ugly: it approaches the 2:3 ratio that Greek philosophers warned against 25 centuries ago.... The ISO sizes [are] more asthetically pleasing thatn U.S. 8.5 by 11. It comes closer to the "Golden Rectangle" which has been used for centuries."

FreeBSD Diary has a basic overview of setting up redirects in Apache. And there's always the Apache docs: mod_alias/Redirect directive.

Linux Gazette has another Apache redirect article that I used a month ago to debug a problem encountered while trying to create a redirect.
