Fortunately most New Yorkers aren't so pathetic. I've lived in both cities and there's no doubt in my mind that New York is The capital of the world. It is the nexus of the human universe. It is a wonderful place. I would live there again given the right opportunity. But I prefer San Francisco, which is much smaller, far less dense, almost as culturally diverse and much closer to nature.
