Jeremy Zawodny: Always looking for new ways to spend less time reading blogs, I think that Jim is on to something when he suggests Feedster + Bayesian algorithms to create a new type of aggregator. Anyone working on this?...

Craig Jensen: It's my birthday. Having a few friends over, later this afternoon, for barbeque, swimming in the pool and laying around. But there's a
50% chance of showers. Is it an omen? This is my fourth birthday celebrated on the web. Prior to today --
51, 50 and
49.

Oliver Wrede: This is a collection of personal notes about some people I met at the BlogTalk conference. This is NOT a report on the weblog conference as such. That will follow later on.

Don Park: Korea Bloggers are, as I define it, bloggers who blog
about Korea in English. Korean Bloggers are bloggers who blog
in Korean language. Confused yet? Thanks to
Hoon (who has a wacky site), I found
a list of Korea Bloggers. Most of them are either English-speaking foreigners living in Korea or Koreans living in English-speaking countries. Yeah, I am starting to get confused too.

Adam Curry: I heard something pretty worrying over the weekend. It appears that the US will be moving to a 13 or 14 slot barcode system in 2005. This is required by law. The reason, wouldn't ya know it; We're running out of 'address space'! Just like IP addresses basically. Only worse. This change over will be huge. Every retail outlet in America, every inventory system, will need an ipgrade. Not to mention the millions of label makers that will need replacing. Y2kV?
Adpac seems to think so.

Tom Clifton: I am not completely certain what I did to fix the problem, but Radio is finally working the way it should. For the last month, I had to restart Radio to get any file streamed up. I believe the problem was caused by one or more bad (erroneous) paths stored in radio.root...

Andrew Anker: I'm catching up on things that happened while I was gone on vacation. About a week ago Joi Ito posted a
synopsis of the investment process they use at Neoteny. Along with Tim Oren's recent
piece and some of David's
writings last week, a lot of good information is coming online to help entrepreneurs better understand how VCs think.

Rogers Cadenhead: Some Radio UserLand hackers are becoming
discouraged by the sheer weight of the program's UserTalk code and the bugs, quirks, and complexities it contains. Mark Paschal, who offers help frequently on the
customer support discussion board, says that it is "as jury-rigged a Rube Goldberg device as ever." Jeremy Bowers believes it need a "serious housecleaning"...

Thanks to Rogers for providing a voice of balance and reason. It's always easier to be critical than it is to appreciate what we have.
