Plumbers and software engineers now make the same salary. That should encourage more American students to invest in up to 6 years of college to become a software engineer, right?

Christian Science Monitor: "What you can see is a pretty clear list of winners and losers [from free trade], and working people and small farmers are consistently on the losing end of the equation". Stated another way, by me, is that the costs associated with free trade are disproportionately borne by workers (or small groups of those who are adversely impacted), and the benefits are primarily accruing to others, such as business owners and politicians.
