Ok, a little bit of Mac envy is creeping in with the announcement of Miglia's $279, aluminum encased, EvolutionTV Mac PVR adapter (via TUAW). Similar to ElGato's EyeTV, EvolutionTV can be programmed to record and playback TV shows on your Mac. But unlike the EyeTV, which costs about $50 more, EvolutionTV can record video in MPEG-2 (DVD quality), MPEG-4 and DivX formats, thus saving you a lot of space to record your favorite shows. Furthermore, EvolutionTV uses TitanTV for its electronic program guide, but what's truly innovative here is that the device integrates with Apple's native calendar application, iCal, for scheduling and iMovie for editing and burning.
