Happy Birthday Radio 8
From Dave Winer's Scripting News:
Happy Birthday to Radio 8. One year old today. [Scripting News]
Radio 8 is the weblogging and news aggregatoring software I use to write this weblog and read news from 134 different sources. When my previous web host crashed and burned earlier this week, all I had to do was wait for the DNS changes to my new web host to propagate around the Internet then tell Radio to re-publish the entire site and Country Keepers was back and running just that quick.
Radio provides a very easy to use interface through which you write your weblog thoughts and assign them to any number of categories which can exist on the Internet in any number of different places. When you're done, it renders what you've written into HTML code and automagically uploads it to your weblog. I was literally online with my first post within 15 minutes of downloading the software.
If you're thinking about trying out weblogging, Radio is an incredibly easy and powerful way to start.
