Don't you (Cringley) think they've (Apple) thought about it? "Hey we're recovering, let's go kick the giant in the teeth!"

Apple would vaporize. The only thing that would keep this from happening would be the DOJ/State's AG actually standing up to M$. Not gonna happen. Maybe under another administration....

Microsoft's "see, we have competitors" stance would disappear like morning mist as they destroyed Apple using whatever means possible.

The resultant firestorm after Apple was destroyed would likely then end up shackling MS properly, but I really don't think Jobs and the kids at Cupertino really wanna sacrifice themselves for the greater good, hmm?

Well, thanks to Doc, I wandered over and took a Enneagram Type Indicator test. I come off as a Type 2, which leads me to think one of three things:

#1 Say What?
#2 I'm feeling the medication I took, still.
#3 Could you repeat the question, please?

Mind you, my actual test score comes out almost evenly across the types, but still.... :)
