The passing of an idol This morning's sports page brought news that Johnny Unitas died yesterday. Somehow, while watching two baseball games, I missed the news. Johnny Unitas was my boyhood idol. I was born in Baltimore and though I was only two when I left, the Colts were my team. I don't quite understand why this news has hit me so hard.
