time to plug a website

I've been visiting Electoral-Vote.com daily. You should too.

Crater Lake

I forgot to say anything about this, but a week ago I got back fro a trip to Crater Lake. The beginnings of a picture album are here, and will get fleshed out more when I get back home and the bandwidth limits have been reset on Flickr. They only allow you to upload 10M a day, and my album is more than that.

Radio

It's nice to see that Radio is getting updated. I don't use the aggregator (actually, I find that I don't really like using aggregators at all, although when I do use one, I use NetNewsWire), but I'm hoping that more work is going into templating and other things that I do use.

As a selfish desire, I'd like to see some of the functionality of MailEdit make it into the main Radio product. I think many people would find it useful. Well, I know I do.

Maybe it's time to start hacking with UserTalk again. With the Frontier Core going open source in the future (I'm hoping that that future is nearer rather than farther), Frontier will survive as a platform, and stands a great chance of actually growing newer and cooler aspects. Dave Winer did and does a lot of great stuff with the platform, but I'd love to see what will happen when some other very bright hackers get hold of the code. I've mentioned in the past that I'd love to make some modifications myself, perhaps reviving the Python IDE project and morphing the Frontier UI into something that is even more malleable than it currently is.

I'm anxiously awaiting the next Radio release.
