To catch up --

My sister got married over Labor Day weekend, in Yosemite, in the little chapel located in Yosemite Valley. It was gorgeous. You can see the landscape pictures of Yosemite here, I haven't yet sorted through the wedding pictures.

I don't know what really caused this, but the timing seems to be fairly coincident.

I got Windows XP SP2 from the automatic update a while back, and it seemed to install fine. I expected the Windows Firewall dialogs that popped up (like everyone else has been reporting), and figured I was cool.

But ever since the installation, MailEdit has been failing me.

I stepped into the code, and saw that MailEdit wasn't working because Radio was no longer sucessfully fetching email. Stepping into the code, it looks as if the TCP reads are timing out.

I wrote sample code that easily duplicates it, and I can't figure out why it's failing.

So that's why I haven't been posting lately. I post almost exclusively through MailEdit. Not that I want to promote the tool right now, since I can't guarantee it's going to work for you, but MailEdit has been very useful for me. I'm glad I wrote it.

Now I just want to make it work again.
