The Liberty Alliance released their spec all 185 pages of it.  This spec seems overly complex and is definitely not about inclusion for small developers.  Can someone please explain to me how in the hell a small to mid size company would implement this? I think I already know the answer to this question. You can't the spec was made by big companies for big companies.

Network identity and single sign are simple concepts and don't require 185 page specs. Maybe we small developers should get together and hack out one that works for the common net-citizen. We could probably have it written and implemented in a few weeks, which would be the same amount of time it takes to read the Liberty spec. ;-(
