Read this now. Mark Morford, SFGate (online version of the Chronicle) columnist, sums it all up for us.

Sometimes JRo's military background rubs me the wrong way, but he's right; this is a well-written essay that hits very, very close to the mark. If we are concerned about the survival of the two party system (although I voted Green for Governor here in CA, there is no third party currently able to assert itself as a nationwide force) then something along these lines has to occur... someone else yesterday called for the head of Terry McAuliffe... that's a good place to start. He was Clinton's fundraising god and that is his only talent. He wouldn't know a coherent policy statement if it bit him in the ass.

A New Approach to American Politics (or how can the Democrats get their groove back).    A JRo essay.  If I was working with an editor and spent some more time on it, it could be a very good article.  Okay, back to work. [John Robb's Radio Weblog]
