Life is a test
Wendy - Maureen's cousin - died last night at 8:20pm.
Lacy Lady - our first Birman cat - died this morning at 10:10am.
I didn't know Wendy very well. She had a couple of kids and a husband. Nice person - smiled all the times I remember seeing her. The last big thing we saw her at was a wedding. She had breast cancer - details don't really matter. It killed her.
Lacy's full name was: Sheezar Lacy Lady of Kopriha. She was a sixteen year old seal point female Birman cat. We adopted Lacy from Carol Reed in New Jersey. I remember her as a furball with dark stripes. Lacy had an attitude - she was a fiesty cat who did not get along with the other cats at all. For the last decade she's been living in the downstairs by herself - I'd visit every night. She learned to call out for attention at 10pm every night. She was a shoulder cat - every night she would climb up my front and lay over my left shoulder and purr up a storm. She just loved to be cuddled. I think she knew it was time.
Life is a test - everything we do - big, little, trivial decisions - it's all important. I'm a Christian. I believe in God - even the devil believes in God. But I know Christ as my personal savior - He came, He lived, He died and He rose again. He lives inside of me. Being good isn't the same as submitting to God's will.
I'm sure Wendy had a wonderful life and I know that Lacy definitely had as great life as we could provide. We've been praying for Wendy's salvation. Will I see her in heaven? I won't know till I get there. I'd love to see all of our pets there too. I know there isn't any Biblical evidence for pets going to heaven. I'm hopeful.
God is a wonderful, awesome God.
Life's short - eternity is forever. Are you sure that you are going to heaven? Don Francisco has a great explaination of the Good News.
