« XLST in Radio »

Radio and XSLT. Looking at Adam's work, I feel the need for an XSLT engine embedded directly in Radio. Relying on an external server for the translation is a workaround at best. Browser based XSL translation is only available for IE 6 for Windows. This leaves non IE6 and non Windows users in the cold. [read more] [s l a m]
I agree, this would add a lot of power to Radio without depending on browser features. I've had it in the back of my mind for months that it would be neat to embed (e.g.) Sablotron.  On Windows, Sablotron can be used as a DLL, which would presumably integrate well with Radio.  The licensing is right (dual Mozilla and GPL, the former being on my list of preferred licenses).  The only thing missing would be a Mac port, which would probably be pretty easy for OS X, given that Sablotron already has *BSD ports.  I don't have the resources or knowledge to do a Mac port, and currently don't have time even to do the work on Windows, but I will put it on my unrealistically optimistic todo list -- unless someone else gets to it first...  ":->"
