Sam Ruby: "The Mindreef duo shared a wealth of immediately practical advice. If you ever consider deploying a web service based solution with components from more than one vendor, these are the guys to talk to."
Thanks, Sam. I also agree with your other comments on DevCon. I enjoyed every talk that I heard (I missed two). I loved Keith Ballingers's use of an XML document, rendered into a collapsible outline by IE, as his main presentation (instead of slides); Keith is also a master of pacing. Clemens Vasters gave a virtuoso performance (including the best visuals of the show, especially the intro) with some very cool examples of the power of attributes in C#. (Too bad I can't do that in any of the languages I'm currently using. ) Steve Loughran was indeed even better the second time; I look forward to more great talks, like the interop paper he recently delivered.
The single best thing for me, though, was that there was clearly a very strong shared point of view among most of the speakers as to the primacy of data. If it wasn't for the data, why would we bother writing code?
