David McCusker and Jeff Darcy seem to have gotten past their initial rough start and have a fascinating networking dialogue going. The end of a couple of days' worth of posts from David can be found here, and a high-quality Darcy critique of TCP can be found here. On David's day-earlier post he offers some links sent in from Martin Peck; follow the link to David above to find them a page or so down from the top.

This starts to touch on an area of some interest to me, namely reliable IP multicast toolsets. I wonder how any of the discussion I've alluded to so far relates (if at all) to efforts such as Ensemble, Spread, or JavaGroups?
