Hey! Libertarian Kelley Ross is also up against Howard Berman here in California. Kelley also has an excellent web site that you'll find linked to on the left, under "Politics." Hmmm. Wonder why it is that the Libertarian candidates have excellent web presences and the Republicrats don't?

Here's something I feel good about: in comments on Ed Cone's weblog here, I asked what was stopping Tara Sue Grubb from downloading Radio Userland and starting a weblog. A couple of comments later, it turns out the answer was: nothing. Now she's on ManilaSites and is getting some administrative support for this endeavor, which I think is excellent. I'll go ahead and continue to be proud that I asked the question, and pleased that she followed through.
More importantly, if you're in the 6th district in North Carolina or the 28th district in California, please vote against Howard Coble and Howard Berman in November. Politically speaking, I intensely dislike urging people to vote against specific legislators. Unfortunately, the current circumstances leave me with no choice. Ironically, I could more happily vote for Tara Sue Grubb were I a citizen of North Carolina than I could for David Hernandez, the candidate of my home state of California. Why? Because Tara Sue is writing on the web, where I can read her comments first-hand. Hopefully this is food for thought for other candidates for office.

Aaron Swartz noticed that Mac OS X allows you to log on even if you don't enter the correct password? [Scripting News]
If you follow the link, you'll see that Aaron observes that Mac OS X will accept the password if it's only off by a single character. This will help those users who think that "password" is spelled with three s's.
