Tonight I made a dinner that was really good. I tend to think that I could have done better on many of the things I make but tonight I think it would have been hard to improve on this particular dish. I had some asparagus and a package of puff pastry. I searched for those ingredients on Google and didn't really find anything that looked exactly like what I thought we would like so I just made this up.
Asparagus Tart
The recipe was a couple of tablespoons of cream cheese mixed with a table spoon of sour cream and about a half a cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese. Spread that on one sheet of puff pastry and then top with parcooked asparagus spears and some sauteed onions and garlic. Top with the second sheet of pastry cut into srtrips. Egg wash the pastry and bake at 400-425 for 17-20 minutes. Finish with a little more grated parmesan over the top during the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
