Which is I think the future of radio is Webio over wireless IP. There we've got thousands of mostly-free stations to choose from, in spite of the RIAA's and the Library of Congress' best efforts to regulate the shit out of this new and promising industry. [Doc Searls] I'd like to believe this, but I'm not so optimistic. Even if they still webcast, the stations I enjoyed most over the last 15 years (WFMU, WFUV, WBGO) are hobbled by the current rules. I'd love to have easy access to new and surprising music, but that's exactly what the majors seem to want to prevent: informed consumers are hard to fleece.
