Digital X-ray microtomography yields stunning views of limb regeneration [EurekAlert!]

Newts are the only vertebrates that can completely regenerate limbs throughout their life. This report uses a novel microtomography approach that allowed them to actually see the reforming bone inside the limb. Understanding how this type of limb regeneration works may provide insights into therapies for amputattions.  10:08:33 PM
