If you want to get upset, read this article discussing how the 9/11 commission may very not be seeing important information that is readily available. Are we going to get yet another wite washed committee report that solves nothing. The record already avalable indicates just how quickly people knew that the planes had been hijacked by unconventional terorrists. They even had the identities. How can the American people allow this to happen? But we will. Better to believe that Iraq was responsible and we are now safe than realize how many mistakes were made that permitted this terrible deed to be done. I firmly believe that it will be the families of the victims that will eventually find the truth and justice, just as those from Lockerbie were able to. there is toomuch alrady in plain sight and some of these people care too much about what is right in America and not their political backsides. this Adminstration will have a lot of explainig to do for all its stonewalling. 11:17:13 PM

Rush has a photo that he claims the Democats do not want us to see. 'John Kerry with Jane Fonda, September 1970' . Take a look. There is the hated Jane, two years before she went off to Hanoi. Way back and out of focus is someone that could well be Kerry. But look right next to him. Hey, that looks like a young Rush Limbaugh. Little more hair. Same eyes. Yep, looks to me as though Rush was right there next to Kerry right next to Fonda. No wonder Rush knew that Kerry had been there.
I guess all those guys IN FOCUS must be real traitors. Isn't one of them Bruce Springsteen? Was the Boss right there, next to the she-devil herself? Isn't trying to demonize everyone who came within 10 yards of Jane Fonda a really stupid game to play? How about those who performed with her in Klute? Is Donald Sutherland a traitor? How about those of use who liked Klute? Sometimes, Rush is pretty pathetic. We all know how he served his country during the Vietnam War. Dean got out of Vietnam for a back problem that, while not serious, gave him a classification that removed him from the draft. Rush got a similar reclassification for a physical problem that is not really debillitating (Snopes has a great discussion of this.) Rush got out of the War. For him to treat this way someone who actually went over there and took fire, for purely political reasons, is pretty repugnant. But then, he is a pundit (see below). 10:34:48 PM

Banging My Head Against the Wall - Refuting Ann Coulter. The latest installment in Kenneth Quinnell's continuing crusade against the crap that spews from Ann Coulter. [Open Source Politics]
Always a fun read providing continuing that Ann Coulter only exists to divide and degrade, as do so many pundits. The Shakespeare line 'First, let's kill all the lawyers,' should be followed by 'second, let's flay all the pundits.' A more worthy crowd on miscreants would be hard to find. 10:14:45 PM

Report Slams Airline Passenger Screening Program. Remember CAPPS II? A new report is slamming the program. CAPPS II would divide passengers into three categories: green, screened... [TalkLeft: The Politics of Crime]
The best part, even better than the fact that innocent people could be branded with an horrible tag of terrorist, was that the system was actually unable to prove that it would actual catch real terrorists. Just what we need. Prevent 80 year old aunt edna because a mathamatical theorum said she was a risk, while letting the real bad guys fly without a problem. How can we allow the government this much power? 9:58:35 PM

On Palm dumping future Mac support. Although Mark/Space has committed to offer a way to sync Cobalt-based Palms using its $40 Missing Sync software, it looks like the days of easy use of Palm PDAs with free tools like iSync are numbered. [Mac Net Journal]
This may explain why my current Palm could be my last. Foregoing the Mac is a mistake, a typical one of a dying compamy. How many times have we seen a company that said it was stopping Mac support simply disappear in a short time? 9:52:14 PM

Making a Better Presentation. Jeffrey Veen has some excellent suggestions:
- Tell stories
- Show pictures
- Don't apologize
- Start strong
- End strong too
- Stand
- Pause
As he says: "The problem isn't Powerpoint, of course. The problem is bad content delivered poorly." [E M E R G I C . o r g]
I do all of these. It makes a big difference if I stand. I give a much more professional, less chatty presentation if I am standing. 9:43:52 PM

Novak: Bush Picks Joe Wilson to Head Iraq Intel Probe. (2004-02-06) -- Syndicated columnist Robert Novak today revealed that President George Bush will appoint retired diplomat Joe Wilson to lead an independent inquiry into pre-war U.S. intelligence capabilities. Mr. Novak wrote, "Two senior administration officials told me that Wilson's wife,... [ScrappleFace]
Most times ScrappleFace's humor does not provoke a huge response. Not like The onion does. But I got a good chuckle from this one. 9:38:42 PM
