One Button Mouse Syndrome. FAST RANT:
I hate a one button mouse.
Never could figure out how the Mac world could do it. Never. In WinTel, we have become incredibly used to Right Click - and a whole array of useful options appear. I knew that the Mac had a similar option...
So, after two months of laziness I plugged in a USB Microsoft scroll mouse. No drivers. Plug and Really Play.

I could not live without my Trackball. But, even though it has 4 buttons and a scroll-circle on it, I really only use the left and right buttons. But, whether I right-click or use a control-click really depends on where my fingers are and what my train of thought it. I like to stick on the keyboard as much as possible, so if i am writing, it is usually right-click (only needs a rapid movement of my hand to the trackball and the right button. Then back to the keyboard.) If I am working in scanning mode (right hand on the track ball and the left on the keyboard near the Apple key), I control click. It just seems more natural. 12:25:09 PM

When management sets the wrong security culture. [Editor's Personal Note: This column is 100% True and I'm "Al". If Winn let's me reveal the bank identity, I'll gladly do so later in the comments section. I have not blogged any of the following details because I knew the Network World column was on its way. It all began the day I social engineered Winn's Bank account and we all paid for it.]

Read the column and become very afraid when it comes to banks and online security. No wonder fraud is so prevalent since the banks make it so easy. Only idiots would walk into a bank and rob it when it seems so easy to accomplish the same thing using online accounts. 12:15:04 PM
