Geological time gets a new period. Scientists add a new time period to their official calendar of Earth's history - the first new geological time period in 120 years. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition] It's the Ediacaran. A Chronological Train Wreck Archeology Today looks at Troy. Homer, who belongs in the eighth century B.C., told of events long before, around 1200 B.C., toward the end of the Late Bronze, which is when the ancient Greeks said the Trojan War took place.
