Why the VCR is doomed, Dan Knight, Mac Musings. Just as the iPod has replaced the Walkman and is replacing the Discman, digital video recorders will displace VCRs -- and Apple could become the iPod of the DVR market. [Low End Mac] Sentences that confuse me: Apple is a company tha tmakes iPod. Everything else mentioned is a product, not a companyh. So how could Apple become the "ipod of the dvr market?"
