George Will's column the other day was a real jaw-dropper. He says, literally, that even if there's only three thimbles of oil in ANWAR, we have to drill there just to defeat those evil environmentatlists! The quote: "If geologists were to decide that there were only three thimbles of oil beneath area 1002, there would still be something to be said for going down to get them, just to prove that this nation cannot be forever paralyzed by people wielding environmentalism as a cover for collectivism." He starts with some sort of weird rant, asserting -- with no evidence of course -- that the primary motivation of enviros is colectivism. The Nitpicker does a good job of taking down this moronic piece.
