Photography show starts today
Yes, it's the 23rd June, so I'm going to be non blogus mentis for the rest of the day.
I'm showing my Lost Portraits series - pictures taken during a single day at school back in 1980. The negatives were lost for years before I found them about a month ago. Only one of these pictures has ever been posted to the web.
There is also my Paranoid Landscapes series, a few of which have been posted before. There are a few London pictures, too. In all, I'm showing 21 photographs, so there's lots to see.
Gill is showing 16 pieces, all but one are Urban Textures - colour close-ups of details in the urban landscape which change the way you look at the city.
I must say thank you again to Steve Dixon who spent seven hours with me hanging my pictures yesterday. The whole process was fascinating. I'm planning on writing a series of pieces about what I have learnt while putting on the show, and "How to hang an art show the Steve Dixon way" will be one of them.
I'll post an updates when I can - probably tomorrow morning. My public calls!
