Here' the deal:
Your district's BA (Business Administrator for those not familiar with the term, the CFO of the school district) has decided that its time to change (BAs do that from time to time but that's a story for another article) the district's FMS (Financial Management System). The evaluation team chooses a new vendor's package that runs on Windows but your main concern is the client software is a heavy hitter when it comes to using bandwidth.
Your WAN already gets over taxed at various times with Internet use continuing to go up (this is a good thing). Your district has a plan to upgrade the WAN links to 1GHZ fiber links but that may be years off. What do you do to avoid unecessary use of bandwidth today. Bandwidth should never be wasted anytime. Is remote terminal services the answer?
