Sprint's PTT Voice over IP (VoIP), Goes Beta

Push-to-talk networks don't get enough respect. Probably because they are presently dominated by big telcos and corporate use.  That may soon change as they move to Voice over IP (VoIP) and open up the possibilities. I can quickly come up many ideas to put this potential to use with the AudioBlogging Gateway.  It's announcement like this somedays, that make me wish I was back in the lab.

Sprint's PTT Goes Beta. The real-time voice communication service will utilize Voice over IP (VoIP), enabling as many as six callers to participate in a single conversation, according to Donna Vestuti, a technical applications manager at Sprint PCS, who detailed the new service at a wireless conference held here Tuesday by the Wall Street Technology Association. ...
