Turn the PS2 into a digital media adapter. We're suspect that Sony isn't too pleased about the new MediaPlayer from GameShark which turns the PlayStation 2 into a digital media adapter. The MediaPlayer lets the PlayStation 2 stream audio and video files (including MPEG-1, 2, and 4, DivX, WMV, MP3, and Ogg Vorbis) from a PC over a home network using the PS2 network adapter and a spare memory card. It isn't actually a gadget, it's a software program that comes on two disks, one for your PC and one for your PS2. You just install the software to each (storing the PS2 software on a memory card), and you're good to go. By the way, if this sounds at all familiar, that's because the MediaCenter is just a rebranding of BroadQ's QCast Tuner software which has been available for almost a year now. Read... [Gizmodo]
