Visited a poster session conducted by Bethany Hudnutt. The Shodor Foundation has over 90 Java based math tools online for use by students and teachers.  2:24:35 PM    

Attended a poster session this morning by Cindy and Mark Gable from Grand Forks, ND. They described their program for middle school students that teaches student traditional and technology enhanced filed based biology data collection methods. They utilize probeware, digital video and productivity software to teach their students how to gather and analyze data.

The intent of this session is to acquaint participants with opportunities for using technology to enhance and encourage field-based experiences associated with courses or individual classes focused on field biology. Specifically, our focus is on the use of probes and digital photography and video as data gathering tools with multimedia authoring and spreadsheet applications as data exploration and communication tools.
