I can't believe what I just had to do. For the past three weeks, a certain user at a certain company's computer has been happily sending me copies of the SIRCAM virus attached to all sorts of confidential company documents. I tried every email address I could find on the companies web site... ... with zero response. I finally looked up their phone number and called the company directly. I explained to the nice operator what was going on and, after a small freakout (on their part, not mine), was connected to the head of IT. He thought they had tracked down the problem, but guesses a reinfection must have recurred. He promises to track it down and kill it. 5:41:34 PM
