About Taxomita
Taxomita is a web-based authoring application that lets you create distributed, hierarchical, faceted metadata, and use it to index any page on the web.
(from site below)
The distributed bit is what makes Taxomita different. It means you won't have to do all metadata work yourself, you will be able to create a cloud of metadata sources you trust.
I think I need to call a librarian on this one. "Hey Pat D. " Check out the screenshots. Says that you can ask the developer for an online account. If your adventerous load it on a LAMP server.

Seems to be a more structered way (protocols) of communicating and exchanging ideas. Ken Tompkins, EBN member and professor at Stockton College, NJ, has the first set up of H20 outside of Harvard. Hey, its free to be used on the Harvard site. H20 also is free as a downloadable package.
