From the Ahhhh Dept:

Having internet access upstairs is nice. Just needed to turn the iMac into a software router with BrickHouse. Took all of 30 minutes to get up and running.

Previously I had to take the powerbook downstairs, hook it into the modem, and then check email. Now I have access from the comfort of my own desk.

But it's still slloooooowww.

Mac Loyalists: Don't Tread on Us." Part one in a series by Leander Kahney." [Wired News]

Slashdot also linked to this story, and titled it Mac Users Love Apple, Hate Microsoft.

One thing I do have qualms with is people that think Jaguar should have been free. What?? I remember paying for Mac OS 9 in the day, and 8. I think I remember 8.5 being a paid upgrade as well.

Besides that, Mac OS X is, in my mind, a product name, like FileMaker Pro - the "X" isn't a version number, folks. (just like Pro isn't a version in "FileMaker")

Notice this picture here:

Sure looks like a product name to me...

so quit your whining about pricing and go back to whining about how much the Finder in OS X sucks ":->"

Ok, that was enough ranting about that topic for today...
