Blog Faces

A post on Steven Frank's 'blog has an interesting bit to say about avatars (and blogs too... click on the link above to view the whole article).

If I have a consistent icon that means "me", and it shows up when I leave comments on other blogs, it adds an extra level of recognition. Hey, I recognize that guy. People recognize names too, but I'd wager not nearly as easily. [~stevenf]

I've been thinking about this myself. Put this image up as my iChat picture, put it up on my 'blog (probably replacing Mulder over there), and use it consistently. 'Cause heaven knows, I've got like 5 different handles that I use on the 'net already... might not hurt to unify them all somehow - with a picture. For most of them, anyway.

Learn to touch type with Vim

An interesting post on but she's a girl... mentions a plugin for for Vim, TTCoach.

Yes, I know, it took me long enough to post this. Maybe it was worth the wait?
