Was off a few days last week so I went out to play with the electric train set; NYCTA. This time I took a trip to Carnarsie on the LL (now the L). On the return trip I stopped off at Broadway Junction, the junction of the LL and the J/Z lines of the BMT. I have not been here since I graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn and instead of taking the GG would vary my route by taking the Myrtle Avenue el (now gone) to Broadway Junction where I changed to the Jamaica Avenue el (J). Picture below is a panorama from the LL Manhattan bound platform overlooking the subway yards. The yard is of particular interest in that it is all off the ground. Sorry about the length of the picture.

Broadway Junction East New York area. Map is copyright Peter Dougherty (brakeman@nycsubway.org).

Can't find the smaller one. 01/25/2003. This one is taking up too much horizontal space.
