In line with the war of words on Iraq there is a real war for the take back of our civil rights in this country. This article must have slipped past the US Government/New York Times censors. It is a crime what is happening in this country to our civil rights.
I personally know of one South Asian who was spirited away from his house at 6:00 AM in the morning. Held for seven days before his family knew where he was. During this time he was questioned almost continuously by the FBI; all this on a minor immigration charge.
I think this forum should have a discussion about the "Patriot" Act and the upcoming war against Iraq. Because if there is not a real discussion of the facts the right of discussion will be taken away from us in the name of protection and security.
As was said so many times this afternoon,; "Not in our/my name!!!"
