I'm back. This is the story of a decayed weblog.... hopefully reinvigorated.
I was really starting to get in to Radio and the whole weblog thing. It was fun to share small tidbits about Mac OS X and the occasional personal interest comment here and there.
As best I can tell, a couple of events conspired to break me out of my early forming weblog habit.
The first event, I got supremely busy. With WWDC in front of us and the first public display of Jaguar, my normally busy work became intense and there was no time for 'optional' activities .
The second event - I started to live on early development builds of Jaguar (aka Mac OS X v10.2) which at the time was pretty stable and ran most apps, but unfortunately, not Radio. Booting back to 10.1 was enough of a speed bump to cause me lose even more of the spark.
I'm not sure that there was a third event or not, but because Radio stores all the content in the application folder, not my home directory, somewhere along the line, I lost my all my data. I regularly upgrade my system and preserve my documents folders, but not necessarily my apps folder.
The net net is that the pilot light went out. I'm going to give it a shot to try and get back in to the rhythm now that Jaguar is about to ship and Radio is running fine.
Part of what has me revved up is getting a chance to talk about all the incredible things about Jaguar. This has turned out to be the best version of Mac OS that I've seen in my 13 years at Apple. With over 150 significant features, I'll have a lot to talk about.
What else can I say? There's a lot to catch up I'll try and get the spark back.
