Preview can
view and convert a bunch of image file formats including:

The Preview application
in Jaguar offers up some very useful new features. When viewing PDF's,
an Aqua drawer slides out of the document and shows you preview thumbnails
for each page of the document. Clicking a thumbnail will take you directly
to that page.
Another cool use of the drawer is if you open several image files at
the same time (for example, JPEGs from your digital camera), instead of
each image opening up in its own window, Preview opens a single window
with a drawer that contains thumbnails for each opened image. This is
a great way to browse through a large collection of images.
Another highly requested feature was to support rotating of images and/or
PDF documents. Check out the the View menu which now sports Rotate Left,
Rotate Right, Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical commands.
