Here's a simple but very convenient
feature for anyone that has ever helped a friend, colleague or family
member with their Mac over the phone. Inevitably, you need to find out
exactly what type of Mac they have, what display card is installed or
version numbers of key applications and you spend the first several minutes
walking them through how to find and then open Apple System Profiler navigating
the Finder.
Well, Jaguar comes to the rescue with a small but very
welcome feature. The More Info... button in the About This Mac window
takes you directly to Apple System Profiler. Now when you need to find
out exactly what is installed on someone's Mac, all you need to say is
"Choose About This Mac... from the Apple menu, press More Info...
and read me the Hardware Overview (or whatever section you need)"
