The new Get Info panel in Jaguar has lots
of interesting new features. One of the new things you can do is to change
the file permissions of any file or folder on your system without the
assistance of the good old command line.
In most situations, there's no need to worry about ownership or permissions
of files but if you explore the UNIX nature of Mac OS X or do development
this is a very useful addition to the system.

Folks, sorry for not getting updates out while I was in Europe. Apple Expo was a very successful show and I had a fantastic week exploring France afterwards. Fear not, the feature updates will resume again today.
