Climate Change Following Collapse Of The Maya Empire. "Researchers from the University of Amsterdam have demonstrated that the climate in South Mexico changed following the collapse of the Maya empire." (Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research release) [NASA's Earth Observatory]

The K-T Impact Extinctions: Dust Didn't Do It. "New research shows that the assumptions behind a theory that sun-blocking, life-ending dust from an asteroid collision with Earth 65 million years ago are amiss, and therefore damage estimates from future asteroid impacts are also amiss." (Geological Society of America release) [NASA's Earth Observatory] Ah ha, the game's afoot! Will this be supported by future research or not?
