Macromedia buys eHelp

Macromedia has acquired eHelp, a company specializing in help authoring and demonstration software. Details about the acquisition are on Macromedia's site.

One interesting trend for Macromedia is the proclivity to buy small companies with products that output to Flash. It's an interesting example of the benefit of platform: define the standard, release it to the world, and let the market itself figure out how best to use it. Then buy the winners and roll them into your own revenue streams.
