Nokia IMC analysis

The mobile phone industry seems almost desperate in its communications. Nokia has a steady stream of press releases announcing new models and upcoming designs. But the IMC around it all seems designed to speak to the industry itself, not the consuming public. If it were aimed at me, then it'd be a heck of a lot easier to read about this stuff, finding links and pictures for instance. Think Apple: Be a master story teller!

Consider their websites. Apple's website is clean and centered.

Then consider Nokia's website, which is clean but off-center.

Also notice that the Apple website has their current story front and center (The Time Invention Of The Year). On Nokia's homepage, I can't see the new, just accounced 5140 Walkie Talkie model, so now I gotta dig for it.
