Lightweight Content Management System
Dave Winer's kind mention on Scripting News of my Frontier-scripted production environment at The (old) San Francisco Examiner was the impetus to set down my thoughts about something I've come to call the Lightweight Content Management System.
Basically, the theory is that you can manage anything from a Weblog to a major daily using a network, a file system, a few free or inexpensive apps, some scripts and a system architecture based on simple rules.
