Futurists Update

Here's a bit of an update on my recent post about Futurists.

First, gotta add the Long Bets Foundation to the list. [mentioned on Erik Benson's Weblog.] [Note to self: have a more detailed look at the Long Bets site.]

And Mark Finnern wrote me about the Bay Area Futurists, mentioning that they have three different areas for discussion:

the main bafuture yahoo group, for discussions. Quite active: it appears to average over 50 messages a month, since April 2002.
Mark Finnern's Weblog
The Socialtext event space wiki/weblog combination, which was indeed only started recently.

Sheesh, there's just too much stuff going on to keep up with it all!
