I Treed A Raccoon
I got home just past dark last night, and a raccoon was in the front yard.
Somehow it decided that the safest spot was up the ponderosa pine
near my front door. By the time I got my camera, he had climbed 30
feet up the trunk, to the tree's lowest branches.
One big fat pair of raccoons used to stop by
occasionally at night, to finish off the cat food.
They're usually pretty unconcerned -- you have to tell them
to go away or throw stuff at them if you want to get rid of them.
I think those ones were probably too fat to climb the pine tree.
This one looked a lot younger.
