CEC's wristphone. One thing we'd like to know is, why aren't there any wristphones available here in the US? We're not saying we'd buy one, but at least give us the option. Anyway, yet another wristphone has come out that almost certainly won't be sold here. The F88, which is made by CEC, runs on China's CDMA 1x network, and has a wired earpiece that is worn like a ring (an infrared earpiece is available, though a Bluetooth onewould be even better), a small keypad on the wristband, a 256-color LCD screen, and a digital camera attachment. We can't find a picture of this anywhere, so if you find one, let us know. Read [Via PicturePhoning.org]... [Gizmodo]

Sanyo's TV cellphone. First Samsung, then NEC, now Sanyo has a prototype of a cellphone with an integrated digital television tuner. The new phone has a 2.2-inch organic electroluminescent display, two built-in digital cameras, 128MB of internal memory, and we think (it's hard to tell from the translation) that it can function sort of like a TiVo and save up to 30 minutes of television programming. Cellphone running Windows CE.net. With all the buzz brewing about cellphones running Microsoft's Smartphone operating system, there's actually a PDA phone in the works running not on Smartphone or even the Pocket PC Phone Edition software, but on Windows CE.net. The STAMP PC phone, which looks remarkably like one of Motorola's Accompli handsets, runs on either GSM/GPRS or CDMA, and has a 2.4-inch, 65,000 color touchscreen, 32MB of RAM, 32MB of Flash ROM, a 200GHz processor, and a built-in digital camera. Whether or not this phone will actually come out is another matter, though ThreeGMobile is reporting that it should be out in Hong Kong this fall. Plenty of other companies have claimed to be working on phones that ran Windows CE, and even showed off prototypes (remember the Neonode N1? Exactly.), but none of them have ever delivered. Read...
