I'm going to try and back-post all the Today in History posts between Dec. 20 and Jan 14, so many cool things happened and I want to read about them all!

On January 15th 1969, the Soyuz 5 with cosmonauts Volynov, Yeliseyev and Khrunov blasted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrone to rendezvous with Soyuz 4, already in orbit.
